National Barista Championship

Date: Friday 26 March 2010 to Sunday 28 March 2010
Venue: The Table Bay Hotel, V&A Waterfront

You are invited to watch South Africa's top 18 baristas compete in the National Barista Championship.  All 18 will compete in the first round on Saturday, 27 March 2010. The top 6 finalists will then battle it out for 1st prize on Sunday.  Strict adherence to WBC rules will be followed including a WBC certified head judge and a team of technical and sensory judges.  Details are available at www.worldbaristachampionship.com

Three regional Barista Championships were conducted by SCASA members in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban during 2009. Each regional competition produced 6 finalists, all 18 finalists are eligible to compete in a National Championship.  The winner of which will be entered in the International Barista Championship in London, 23-26 June, 2010.
