RASA represents the Restaurants of South Africa and have established an awarding system to recognize restaurants in the industry that strive for service excellence. SCASA was in search for the restaurant and barista with the most passion for service excellence and delivery in the coffee bar for the 2011 SCASA Coffee Excellence Awards. 

 

The Coffee Bar in the Restaurant and the barista were evaluated according to specific criteria, namely the Customer Service, Station Management, Technical Skills and Sensory Evaluation. As the coffee culture in South Africa is passionately growing, so are the demands of the customer.

 

SCASA evaluated 10 restaurants who willingly raised their hand to participate in this awarding system, and announced the winner with the highest score and the annual RASA Gala Rosetta Awards Dinner. These restaurants will also take part in the SA Welcome Awards early 2012. We are proud to have the coffee industry represented at this prestigious event and establishing a coffee bar standard in South Africa!
